As we wrap up Florida Redevelopment Week, we want to take a moment to recognize the work of the Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the role it plays in helping our community grow.
Redevelopment isn't always about the biggest or most noticeable project. Sometimes it's a new sidewalk that makes it easier to walk downtown. Sometimes it's an improvement to infrastructure that helps prepare an area for the future. Sometimes it's a grant that helps a local business improve its property. And sometimes, it's taking a vacant lot and turning it into a place a family can call home.
Through projects like commercial improvement grants, infill housing, sidewalk and infrastructure improvements, parks, and community spaces, the Wauchula CRA works to make thoughtful investments throughout our community.
We also want to give a special THANK YOU to our CRA Director Jessica Newman for the dedication, hard work, and vision that goes into making these projects and opportunities happen. So much of redevelopment takes planning, coordination, persistence, and a commitment to seeing projects through, and we are grateful for the work that happens behind the scenes every day to move Wauchula forward
