INVITATION FOR BID
The Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is seeking qualified construction companies to complete the following:

1) Construction of a proposed Sidewalk along the west side of 1st Avenue South

2) Replacement of a 6” cast iron watermain along Bay Street mor or less between East 4th Avenue and East 1st Avenue with a proposed 6” PVC water main and reconnect existing mains and services with incidental sidewalk removal and replacement

3) Construction of a sanitary sewer main extension with proposed manhole.
Sealed Bids will be received by the CRA, located at 107 East Main Street, Wauchula, Florida 33873, until 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Bids received after said time will be returned unopened. The Bidder shall be solely responsible for delivery of their Bid. Reliance upon mail or public carriers is at the Bidder’s risk.

The Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (the “WCRA”) will accept sealed qualifications from architects or architectural firms on or before 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 to provide architectural services for the City of Wauchula’s Historic City Hall, Phase V – Life Safety Renovation.

Architectural Scope of Services
1. Provide preliminary schematic design, floor plans, and elevations necessary for successful bidding of CM services.
2. Work with CM to provide architectural documents suitable for bidding and permitting of Project elements requiring said documents.
3. Work with CM for Project Closeout

The Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency is checking off another project from the 2019 Master Redevelopment Plan with the help of funding from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. The City of Wauchula - Government's Farr Field will be receiving several enhancements, including amenities such as:
- 3rd ball field
- splashpad
- playground
- picnic pavilions
- sidewalks
- parking

Sealed Bids will be received by the Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) located at 107 East Main Street, Wauchula, Florida 33873, until 2:00 PM EST on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 for Farr Field Park Improvements.

The principal features of the Work are:
1. Construction of a proposed parking lot.
2. Construction of a youth softball field.
3. Construction of a playground, splash pad, and shade structures.
4. Installation of landscaping and irrigation.

The Contract(s) awarded under this Solicitation will be funded, in part, with funding received from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Neither the State nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees are or will be a party to this Solicitation or any resulting contract.

The Heritage Park Fountain Renovation project is finally underway and will take approximately 3 months to complete. The construction footprint will remain focused on the fountain area (and west of the pavilion) and will not impact events and activities scheduled for the park.

The Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is seeking continuing services for both Planning and Engineering from qualified firms. Sealed proposals will be received in the CRA Director’s Office, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, prior to 2:00 p.m.

Important instructions and specifications regarding responses to these Request for Qualifications are available online at www.cityofwauchula.com under the header “News” tab. RFQ’s may also be obtained by contacting the CRA Director’s office by email at [email protected] or phone at (863) 767-0330.

The Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will accept sealed proposals from qualified vendors for interior renovations of the City of Wauchula’s Historic City Hall building.

The Bidder is solely responsible for obtaining the Bid Documents. Bidders may secure a complete electronic set from the City of Wauchula website at the following web address: https://www.cityofwauchula.gov/wauchula-community-redevelopment-agency/pages/bids-rfps-rfqs or by emailing [email protected].

BID OPENING: All Bids shall be publicly opened, read aloud, and recorded on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM (EST) in the Wauchula CRA Office, 107 East Main Street, Wauchula, Florida 33873.
