Friends of the Wauconda Area Public Library The Friends of the Wauconda Area Public Library is a support group for the Wauconda Area Public Library.

Our purpose is to focus public attention on the library, to encourage the use of the library’s resources and services, to support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community. We sponsor (and co-sponsor) programs the library hosts for the public, donate funds to support library initiatives and host fundraising events. Our main fundraising event is

our annual book sale, which typically takes place the first weekend in October. Books are sold in the library year-round to raise funds as well.
