Congratulations to our team, including SePRO Corporation, Eutrophix, and our super-talented ILM staff, for our largest application of Eutrosorb G to date! This product binds with , making it unavailable for excess algal and aquatic plant growth. This is a great preventative measure to help restore the ecological balance of area lakes. Just a little give back to Mother Nature on this !

Congratulations to our Emily Z. for a great presentation on flipping large lakes to native plant dominance at the Illinois Lakes Management Association (ILMA) conference. We never strive for a swimming pool aesthetic, but instead look to rid a lake of invasive plants and allow the natives to recover. We don't mean to brag, but we are pretty darn good at it! , ,

ILM was so pleased to volunteer yesterday to help Friends of the Fox River and the Illinois Natural History Survey gather data on Fox River mussel populations after the removal of the Carpenter Dam in Carpentersville. Mussels were collected and tagged to track changes in species richness, diversity, and density. That's a great day at the office!

We are making great progress at Nippersink Creek restoring the hydrology for Friends of Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge. First things first, remove the drain tiles. The pile of tiles is SOOOO satisfying!
