Thanks again to the tens of thousands across the 10th district, and the whole country, who believed in our campaign. One year later, I'm so grateful to all of you, and re-invigorated in the fight to rebuild our middle class and restore the American Dream.

Dear Friends -

Thank you. This campaign was only possible because of you.

We launched this effort with a kernel of an idea, that if you stood up, with backbone and conviction, for the progressive values that built the middle class, you could win, and get a chance to ma­ke the changes all of us know need to be made in Washington, D.C.

Over 12 months, you built this grassroots campaign at over 100 house parties from Grayslake to Glencoe. You built this campaign knocking on doors from Highland Park to Long Grove. You built this campaign with nearly 20,000 individual donors sending in a few dollars at a time from Buffalo Grove to Northbrook.

And you showed that in a district as diverse as ours, it is possible to build a coalition that truly represents the entire 10th District, from the heart of Waukegan, to Round Lake and Des Plaines to Deerfield. A coalition of Americans – black, white, Latino, Asian – Jewish, Christian, Muslim and so many others, who believe in the need to send a proven progressive to Congress to fight to rebuild our American dream.

Together we built a people-powered movement to rebuild our middle class and restore the American Dream.

Let's dust ourselves off and get back to work!
