Today, members of the Waukegan Police Department, along with friends and family, proudly carried the Flame of Hope 4.1 miles as part of the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. 🔥🏃

As Guardians of the Flame, we joined thousands of law enforcement officers across Illinois in raising awareness, promoting inclusion, and supporting athletes who inspire us every day. The Flame of Hope symbolizes courage, determination, and the limitless potential of Special Olympics athletes.

This was more than a run. It was a commitment to a community where everyone has the opportunity to compete, achieve, and belong.

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on and supports Special Olympics Illinois throughout the year. 💙🚓
