We’re grateful to Congressman Brad Schneider for celebrating this milestone with us and for recognizing the community effort behind Pathways. This first fixed-site family shelter represents a new chapter for PADS and, most importantly, greater stability and dignity for families experiencing homelessness.

A big milestone for Lake County! We’re grateful to the Chicago Tribune for sharing the story of Pathways and to everyone who helped bring this vision to life. We can’t wait to welcome families home!

Families staying in the permanent residential shelter can prepare some meals, eat in a communal dining room, get employment counseling and even appropriate clothing for a job interview.

We're one step closer to welcoming families home!

A huge thank you to our partners at Designs for Dignity, led by Executive Director Jen Sobecki and Project Manager Catherine Richards, along with their incredible volunteers, for helping furnish Pathways Family Shelter.

Every room prepared brings us closer to opening our doors and welcoming families into a safe, stable place to call home.
