Ramsey’s Road Trip – Day 3
First, I visited Ulysses S. Grant Home. Touring the home of a former president made me feel pretty important. I briefly considered giving a speech from the front porch, but my campaign manager, Miss Barwick, reminded me that I am, in fact, a stuffed ram.
Next, I made my way to Horseshoe Bluff Overlook. The views were incredible! I stared dramatically into the distance for several minutes like the main character in a movie.
My final stop was Crystal Lake Cave. Exploring a cave sounded exciting until I realized caves are basically giant rocks that are somehow even rockier on the inside. Still, the formations were amazing. I kept looking for hidden treasure, ancient secrets, or at least a cave-sized pile of sheep snacks. No luck.
At this point in the trip, I’ve visited historic landmarks, scenic overlooks, caves, gardens, museums, and more gift shops than any ram reasonably should. My suitcase is still empty, but somehow my souvenir collection keeps growing.
Tomorrow’s goal: continue my quest to become the most well-traveled ram in the Midwest.
