Monday evening County officials held a Budget Open House to not only share information about the county’s financial outlook, but to gain critical public input so our budget aligns with public priorities for services and operations. Later this month, Interim County Executive Tom Farley will introduce the 2027 County Budget, then the County Board of Supervisors will vote on the budget in November.

September marks "Juror Appreciation Month" in Waukesha County. We thank all prospective and sworn jurors who set aside time from their work and personal lives to support the fair administration of justice.

Throughout the month, jurors serving at the Courthouse will receive small tokens of appreciation, and court staff will proudly wear “We Appreciate Jurors” pins. In formal recognition of this effort, the Waukesha County Circuit Court judges have officially signed a proclamation declaring September as Juror Appreciation Month throughout the county.

We’re pleased to announce the investiture of Judge Jeremy Guza! The ceremony marks the formal beginning of Judge Guza’s service on the bench for Branch 3. It also reflects a commitment to upholding the law and ensuring fair and impartial justice. Guza was joined by his wife and parents for the special ceremony.

Waukesha County recognizes our Veterans Services Office for participating in the opening ceremony for the "Remembering Our Fallen" traveling memorial exhibit. Veterans Services Officer Jeremy Johns read the names of Waukesha County service members lost, and Veterans Benefits Specialist Justin Urbano laid the U.S. Coast Guard wreath.

The memorial remains open through Sunday, August 23, at the Schuetze Recreation Center, 1120 Baxter Street in Waukesha. The closing ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Congratulations to Judge Michael Schindhelm on his investiture Thursday evening for Branch 11. Schindhelm was joined by his wife Jennifer and Judge Bugenhagen administered the oath. Waukesha County wishes Judge Schindhelm the very best as he begins this important role and thanks him for his commitment to public service.
