The outpouring of love and support for Paul has been tremendous and is truly appreciated by his family and all who knew him. Today would have been Paul’s 62nd birthday. As we celebrate his heavenly birthday today, we also invite you to join us on August 6 for Paul’s “Visitation Celebration” at the Waukesha County Expo Center to celebrate his life. Details below.

The family’s wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to WisconsinEye https://wiseye.org/donate/. The County Executive’s late mother, Former Lt. Governor Margaret Farrow, was instrumental in the creation of WisconsinEye, the state’s public affairs television network. As County Executive, Paul continued his mom’s advocacy for open government.

We are heartbroken to lose Paul, he was one of a kind. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

On behalf of the Office of the County Executive, we sadly share this news with all of you. Yesterday afternoon, after a lengthy and hard-fought battle, Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow lost his fight with cancer. Paul passed away with his wife by his side. For more than a decade, Paul was a proud champion for the residents of Waukesha County. Paul, 61, was one-of-a-kind and it is an understatement to say many of us will miss him dearly. At this time the family has not announced details of a public memorial service. Our heart-felt sympathies are extended to Paul’s family. County Board Chairman Jim Hienrich has temporarily assumed the duties of the office as Acting County Executive. He will remain in that role until the County Board confirms an interim appointment. A countywide special election to select a permanent officeholder will take place in the coming months. To know Paul, was to love Paul, that's just the kind of guy he was. Thank you to all who are keeping the Farrows in your hearts at this time.

At Waukesha County Health & Human Services, our divisions work together to support a healthier, stronger community.

That's why Veterans Services is excited to share that our Public Health Division has partnered with Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin to promote the Waukesha County Community Health Survey.

Veterans understand the importance of service, and this is another opportunity to make a difference. Just as blood donors help save lives, your feedback can help shape future health programs, services, and resources throughout Waukesha County.

If you're a Waukesha County resident age 18 or older, please consider taking about 15 minutes to complete the survey.

Thank you to Versiti and our Public Health Division for this partnership—and thank you to all who continue to serve our community.
