We’d like to thank Cliff Morrow and the Wheels of Time Car Show again for the generous donation to our department this year! We can never thoroughly express our sincere gratitude for the support we receive, and it’s always a humbling experience. The trophies were incredible, as usual, but we particularly liked the ‘Fireman’s Choice’ trophy this year! 👨‍🚒

Join the Drummond Fire Department for our End of Summer Water Wars on Tuesday, August 19th at 6:00 PM at Drummond Park!

Bring your favorite water gun, your friends, and be ready for an evening packed with fun for the whole family.

🌭 Bank is proudly sponsoring the hot dogs.

🎈 The Town of Drummond is proudly sponsoring 2,000 water balloons.

🍉 We’ll also have plenty of cold watermelon to help everyone cool off after the battle!

This is a FREE community event, and everyone is welcome. Whether you’re 5 or 95, come make some memories and help us send summer out with a splash!

CAPTURED: He was apprehended in Enid at 10:16 p.m. on Friday.

WALKAWAY: Kyle McAnally, #896800, an inmate at Enid Community Corrections Center in Enid, was determined to have unlawfully walked away at approximately 12:26 p.m. on Aug. 14.

Inmate McAnally, 37, is a white male serving a 20-year sentence for discharging a firearm into a dwelling out of Pontotoc County.

If you see Inmate McAnally or know of his whereabouts, do NOT approach. Call 911.

What a fun night we had in Hennessey! We appreciate the invitation from Hennessey Fire Department— and also appreciate Jack and Ivan documenting and assisting with the entire evening!

We’ll be looking forward to our second annual Water Wars next year and maybe we can can invite some neighbors to Waukomis?!

We were just kidding earlier— we’re not going to let a little negativity stop us. You all spoke, and we listened. (We were never listening to the complainers anyway.)

It sounds like it was worth a few hundred gallons of water to have the time that we had!

Constructive criticism aside— Waukomis Water Wars 2027 is already in the works.

Just a quick apology, folks! 💧

We were recently informed by Therese that our annual Water Wars event is considered a waste of water. We honestly weren’t aware, and we certainly never intended to be wasteful, so we sincerely apologize for our oversight.

That being said, we’ve decided it’s probably best to discontinue Water Wars moving forward. We wouldn’t want to continue wasting water when we’ve now been made aware that our little afternoon of kids running around, laughing, and getting soaked apparently qualifies as such.

We appreciate being brought up to speed and will, of course, make the necessary adjustments.
