We traded in our usual work attire for some fun shirts today as we celebrated Tim Herlitzka and his 21 years with Waunakee Utilities.

While we’re not saying goodbye quite yet (Tim’s last day is Friday), it was a great chance to recognize everything he’s done for our organization, team, and community over the past two decades.

We’re going to miss having him around, but we’re excited for him as he heads into a well-deserved retirement.

Did you know that we offer multiple convenient methods for you to pay your utility bill? You can set up automatic payments or one-time payments through MyAccount. You can pay by telephone by calling 877-885-7968. You can pay by mail by sending your payment to PO Box 70. Of course, you can always pay in-person during normal business hours OR by dropping off a check at the drop box located outside of Village Hall or Waunakee Utilities.

Stay cool in the summer without breaking the bank. Try these simple tips:
• Use ceiling fans (Set to spin counterclockwise) to keep air moving and ease the load on your AC
• Close blinds, especially on the south and west-facing windows, to block out heat
• Take cooler showers to help lower your body temp

Small changes can keep you comfortable and give your AC a break during peak summer.
