Thunderstorms forming over MN/NW WI later this afternoon are expected to move towards the southeast and could persist into the overnight hours. The primary hazard is damaging winds (70+ mph gusts), but large hail (2 inches), heavy rain, lightning, and isolated tornadoes are all possible.

Initial thunderstorms are expected to remain as isolated cells, but may congeal into a line of storms during the evening. Be sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings, including ways that will wake you up!

The combined Disaster Recovery Center is now open! FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency is on site with U.S. Small Business Administration and other local agencies. Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday 10am - 1pm this is located at the New London Public Museum. You can find additional relief information www.disasterassistance.gov

One or two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening, mainly between 1 and 10PM with the greatest threat between 3 and 8PM. While not every location will see a severe storm the threat is area wide today.

Multiple rounds of storms are possible Monday into Monday night. Strongest storms most likely Monday afternoon and evening during which all severe weather hazards are possible. Storm details are still uncertain, but significant severe weather is possible if conditions align.
