Granite Peak® Ski Area has 3 high speed chairlifts, a 6 person chairlift, RFID gate system so you can easily reload your tickets online and avoid lines all together! A mountain rising 700 feet, collecting more than its share of natural snow, and facing north to foster early snowfalls and excellent late season snow. A total of 55 runs are spread over the northern facing slopes of Granite Peak. Head

to the Eastern Slopes for terrain parks, the center for some of the best advanced to intermediate terrain and the West Side for more blue cruisers. You'll find plenty of moguls, tree terrain and more. Granite Peak may be one of the country's oldest ski resorts but it has one of the most modern lift systems in the Midwest with three high speed lifts including Wisconsin's only high speed 6-pack. Fall Scenic Chairlift Rides are back this September. Ride the Comet Express to the highest lift-served view in Wisconsin, explore Rib Mountain State Park on foot, and head back down by chair or by trail. Burgers, brats, and fall drafts await at the Historic Chalet when you’re done.

Pond Skim & Red Bull Jib Jam was the best way to wrap up our season! From creative costumes to confident skims across the pond and plenty of unforgettable wipeouts, the energy carried throughout the event.

We’re thankful for everyone who came out to be part of it, whether you were testing your luck on the pond or enjoying the show from the sidelines. The support from our community is what continues to bring events like this to life.

A sincere thank you to Red Bull, Granite Peak Terrain Parks, and our incredible ops team as well for their partnership and support in making the Jib Jam a success.

The Pond Skim & Red Bull Jib Jam goes down tomorrow, April 4th at 12pm. Ski or ride our 100’ pond at noon, watch the Red Bull Jib Jam from 2–3pm, then close out the season with a live DJ at the after party on the Historic Deck from 3:30–6:30pm.
Registration is open 10am–11:45am for Pond Skim and 10am–1pm for Red Bull. A season pass is on the line. See you out there!

Granite Peak will be closed April 2 due to accumulating ice that will prevent lift operations, along with forecasted thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening.

While we still have plenty of snow on the mountain, we’re taking a one-day pause to ensure everything is set up for an awesome final weekend of the 2025–2026 season.

Closing weekend is right around the corner, and it’s going to be one you won’t want to miss. Join us Saturday for the always-entertaining Pond Skim, where competitors take on our 100' icy pond at high noon in their best costumes for a shot at glory and a 2026–2027 season pass. Helmets are required, outfits are encouraged, and good times are guaranteed. After the splashdowns, stick around and enjoy live music with a DJ.

We’ll also have the Red Bull Jib Jam bringing the energy from 2–3pm, with registration earlier in the day for those ready to throw down.

On Sunday 3/29 at approximately 10 a.m., a guest was involved in an incident between Western Frontier and Westwood Glade, resulting in an apparent collision with a tree. Ski Patrol responded immediately, rendering first aid, and transferred care to Emergency Medical Services quickly thereafter. We do not have additional details to share at this time, and we ask for the public's patience and respect for the family’s privacy as we all process this news.

The safety and well-being of our guests remain our top priority. We’re deeply grateful to our ski patrol, mountain team, and local emergency responders for their quick and professional care. Our thoughts are with those affected and their loved ones during this time.
