June 5, 2026 — Pull for Scouting Sporting Clays

Representatives from the Town of Wausau Volunteer Fire Department participated in the 2026 Pull for Scouting Sporting Clays event at the Wausau S***t and Trap Club as a HEROS Team, proudly sponsored by Elite Retirement.

We joined local sponsoring businesses along with three other HEROS teams from SAFER, Medivac, and the Merrill VFW. It was an awesome day supporting scouting, connecting with our community partners, and putting a few rounds downrange for a great cause.

Today is International Fire Fighter Day. We want to thank our fire fighters for all they do for our community and our township. They give up endless hours of their own time to keep us safe during our worst times. Thank you, we appreciate your dedication.

COMMUNITY COOKOUT: for all those affected by the tornado in Ringle and Kronenwetter, New Hope Community Church will be hosting a community meal this Tuesday, April 21st, from 4-7pm.

This is for anyone who lives in the area, for the emergency services workers (fire/EMT, first responders, police, linemen, etc.): please join us for a free meal and community fellowship: a place for a break and a warm meal.
