On behalf of the Village of Wausaukee and our community, I want to express our deepest appreciation to every veteran and active-duty service member who joined us for the Independence Day Parade on July 4.

The incredible support we received from across northeast Wisconsin was truly overwhelming. We are sincerely grateful to each of you who answered our request to help make this year's parade so meaningful - and especially to those who continue to return year after year.

Leading our parade with our nation's flag held proudly overhead was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made in defense of our freedoms. Your presence set the tone for the celebration and created a moment that our community will remember for years to come.

A special thank you goes to the Florence VFW Post 3635 and American Legion Post 150. We also extend our gratitude to Roger Jicha for providing a trailer so our disabled veterans could comfortably participate in the parade.

In honor of America's 250th Anniversary, the Florence VFW Post 3635 will be firing ceremonial rifles at each intersection. This PSA is to alert anyone with sensitivity to noise or small children that they may want ear protection.

**Attention Veterans!!!***
The Village of Wausaukee is once again seeking veterans and/or active service members to lead our Independence Day parade with our American flag in the true spirit of this holiday.
We will have a trailer for disabled veterans who would like to be in the parade but are unable to walk the parade route. Veterans are asked to meet in the J&R Auto parking lot around 12:30 pm on Saturday, July 4th.
If you or anyone you know is willing to march in the parade, PLEASE call the Village office at 715-856-5341 or reach out to us via Facebook. Thank you in advance to all who are willing to help us!!
