🚨 INTERESTED IN BECOMING A LIFEGUARD? 🛟

The Wauseon City Pool is always looking for lifeguards — and for people who are interested in becoming certified lifeguards!

If you’ve ever thought about lifeguarding or would like to work with us next summer, now is a great time to let us know.

🏊 Lifeguard certification classes are planned for the fall, winter, and spring, giving you several opportunities to get certified before next pool season.

*Lifeguards must be 15. If you are 14 you can still let us know if you will become 15 near the start of the season.

Thank you for a GREAT 2026 season at the Wauseon City Pool! 🏊‍♀️☀️💦

As we wrap up another summer, we thought it would be fun to share a few of our 2026 numbers!

Daily Paying Visits:
🏠 5,980 Wauseon resident visits
🚗 4,643 visits from our out-of-town friends
👶 367 visits from our littlest swimmers, age 2 and under

🎟️ 78 in-town family passes
🎟️ 11 out-of-town family passes
🎟️ 13 in-town individual passes
🚌 4 daycare passes

And, of course, what would a summer at the pool be without the concession stand? 😂

🍕 2,840 slices of pizza sold!
🥨 Around 2,000 pretzels!

That’s 10,990 individual visits to the pool this summer — plus thousands of slices, snacks, drinks, candy and probably more nacho cheese than we care to count! 😂

But the most important number is ONE amazing community. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their summer with us — our Wauseon families, our visitors from surrounding communities, our staff (all 44 of them), and everyone who supported the pool throughout the season.

We hope you made some great memories with us this summer.

Please remember that tomorrow (Saturday) is our last day of the season. We will see you there 12-5.

We will not be opening from 5-6:45 tonight.

🌧️ MOTHER NATURE STRIKES AGAIN! 🌧️

Due to a mean trick by Mother Nature against all school staff out there, it’s supposed to rain on the last day of summer vacation! 😭☔️

Because of the weather, Wauseon Pool will be CLOSED today, Sunday, August 16.

But summer isn’t over quite yet! ☀️🏊‍♂️

We’ll be OPEN Monday from 12–8 PM!

Enjoy that last little bit of summer before it’s back to school! 📚🍎
