***HYDRANT FLUSHING IN JULY***
Start Date: Monday, July 20, 2026
*starts on the South Side of town moving North
*takes approximately 2 weeks

This is done to ensure that all hydrants are in working order for fire protection and to remove any mineral deposits that may accumulate in the water distribution system.

To ensure that this work can be completed in a safe and timely manner, we ask that you take note of the following:
1. Use caution when approaching any flushing operations
2. Limit water usage when flushing operations are happening in/around your neighborhood
3. Refrain from doing laundry on weekdays during the hours of 7:30 am - 3:30 pm when flushing operations are happening in/around your neighborhood **Check the color of your water PRIOR to doing any laundry as discolored water may stain clothing - especially whites
4. Do not fill pools when flushing operations are happening in/around your neighborhood

Thank you to everyone who helped clear Beech St. of parked vehicles. Work will begin on Beech St. tomorrow morning (June 2nd). Your continued patience and understanding is greatly appreciated as these projects are completed.

ATTENTION:

There are still vehicles parked in the Beech St. (Fulton St. to Marshall St.) parking area. Those vehicles will need to be moved so repaving can be completed. Unfortunately, if those vehicles are not moved they will have to be removed. Repaving in the city has already started! Thanks in advance.

The Wauseon City Pool Opening Day will now be Sunday May 24th

The Wauseon City Pool will sadly be postponing our opening day with the forecasted weather. We will be rescheduling face painting for Monday. See you all Sunday!
