Thursday Oct 15th the Fulton County Board of DD celebrated Partnerships and Purpose with the 4th annual community Employment Banquet.
We celebrated with 62 Community Members and recognized local Employees, Business Leaders who employ them, and the dedicated job coaches who support their career journey. We had 3 guest speakers, Jeff Rupp, Sarra Burnham, and Chad Kutzli present what it means to be community employed. Tim Rettig opened the night with a prayer. The night concluded with every honoree receiving a Certificate of Appreciation to mark the achievements. The FCBDD is happy to be part of a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

By making a few tweaks, we can make Halloween more fun and accessible for kids with disabilities, making sure the night is welcoming for everyone.

In October 2026, we will recognize National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), an annual celebration highlighting the valuable contributions of individuals with disabilities in the workforce.

This year's theme for NDEAM is “Celebrating Value and Talent.” Over the past few months, we have been recognizing individuals who are making a difference in the community. We will persist in acknowledging the skills and contributions that people with disabilities bring to our workplaces, communities, and economy.

What an inspiring time at the 2026 Synergy Conference! It was a great opportunity to connect with others, share ideas, learn from incredible speakers, and be reminded of the power of working together. Grateful for the conversations, connections, and takeaways we will carry forward! We are excited to go back next year!
