On Sunday April 12th, Eastman Fire, Eastman 1st Responders, and Gundersen Ambulance responded to an ATV accident. Due to the location and circumstances Wauzeka Fire was also paged to assist in the rescue. We were nominated to recieve a challenge coin from Emplify Health System in recognition of excellent patient care, communication, and teamwork. We live in a great community and it was truly an honor to not only receive this award, but also to have such an excellent group of volunteers in our area to work with! We would also like to give a shout out to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office for assisting in setting up a landing zone, and most importantly Crawford County Dispatch because without them, none of this would have been possible.
🪙 Not All Heroes Wear Capes… Some Carry Challenge Coins
