Keep Waveland Beautiful KWB encourages active partnerships between citizens and city government for the maintenance of green spaces and reduction of blight and litter.

KWB is a volunteer committee affiliated with Keep Mississippi and Keep America Beautiful. The committee is composed of the Chair, appointed by the Mayor, and volunteers from the community. These volunteers are vital to this committee's success. Chair: Bryan Therolf, Treasurer Jim Meggett

Our Story

KWB is a volunteer committee affiliated with Keep Mississippi and Keep America Beautiful. KWB has been fortunate over the years to have many volunteers dedicated to enhancing the beauty of our quaint coastal community. Highlights of our regular projects are: Cleaning and pruning trees on Hwy 90, cleaning up Coleman Ave, maintaining the gardens at the Ground Zero Museum, planting palm trees along our beach and participating in coastal cleanup days. A major asset for the City is the KWB Block Captains. There are over 50 block captains who maintain 300’ in front of their homes and many maintain much more.
