Fire Safety starts with you!!!

Please when burning your yard debris follow all essential rules as outlined in the Georgia Forestry Commission website below.

Be advised ONLY natural items such as Leaves, sticks and hand piled vegetation is allowed. NO house hold items such as trash or building materials. No plastics, paints, oils, shingles or treated lumber.

You must remain with the fire at all times!

If you are burning larger wooded areas you will need to contact your local Forestry office for a burn permit!!

Just remember if the Fire Department is Called for illegal burning, it could cost you!

What an awesome training that Waverly Hall and Pine Mt Valley had this morning. The fire department was donated a house to burn. When this happens we are able to set scenarios that we will come across in a structure fire. Thank you to everyone that came out on a Sunday morning for this training.

Another day in our community. This vacation bible class was a very fun group to work with. They had many good questions about the fire service and enjoyed learning about how a fire truck works. To complete the evening they enjoyed being able to dress out in turn out gear along with breathing air.
