City Wide Clean-up this week. The County dump site is free this week through Saturday for Coffey County residents.
Set out your items for the trash pickup for Tuesday April 15, 2025. Please place these items next to your trash bin

UPDATE FROM THE POST OFFICE:

The blue drop box is out of commission until further notice, but the mail that was in the box was retrieved and sent out. They will keep us posted when it can be used again.

This is a message from Karen at the Waverly Post Office:

Over the weekend our blue box behind the post office was hit and moved. Today someone moved it back to its original position. Unfortunately, that jarred something in the lock and it will not open. If you placed anything in the box after 1pm yesterday to anytime today it is stuck in the blue box. I have not been given a time or date that this will be fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone.

Power will probably not be restored until noon today. We will try and update when we get those updates.

This is the message the City of Waverly received from Republic Services early this morning.

We will not be running routes today due to the inclement weather. With the pending predictions of the weather and temps over the next few days, I believe it is safe to say routes will not run tomorrow either. When we can resume (hopefully Thursday or Friday), we will be on our regular schedule. We will recover those impacted next week on their regular scheduled day taking all extra. Let me know if you have any questions.

MESSAGE FROM REPUBLIC SERVICES:

Due to the weather and conditions of the roads, we will not be able to service Monday or Tuesday routes. We will take all next week on those days. We will resume routes on Wednesday running our regular schedule the remaining days of the week. Please pass along to your staff and social media outlets.

They WILL NOT be here this week in Waverly.

We have received a message from Republic Services that the trash service will be delayed one day due to the inclement weather conditions. They asked that we still put the trash out as normal just in case the crew can make it here on time. Thank you!

Waverly City Hall will be closed on December 18, 2024, except for the Special Meeting being held at 6:30 p.m. The City Hall will re-open on December 19, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. Thank you.
