We were excited to welcome Michael Wood from Nashville State Community College (NSCC) to Waverly Central High School to meet with our dual enrollment students!
NSCC helped students make sure they were properly enrolled, had completed their dual enrollment grant application, submitted their college application, and understood the differences between in-person and online courses. Students also received guidance on how to navigate the NSCC online student portal and access the resources they’ll need throughout their college experience.
Dual enrollment is a wonderful opportunity for our high school students! It allows students to earn college credit while still in high school, experience the expectations of college-level coursework, explore potential career interests, and get a head start on their post-secondary education. It can also help students build confidence and valuable skills that will prepare them for success after graduation.
We are so thankful to NSCC for partnering with us and helping our students take the next step toward their future!
