Welcome to Waverly Nebraska
Mayor’s Welcome:
The citizens of Waverly and I wish to welcome you and your family to our City. Our current population is around 3,900 and are one of the four fastest growing cities within the State of Nebraska. We are a progressive community and our future looks bright!
We enjoy one of the best school systems in the State, as such that remains the number one reason why people want to live here. The City of Waverly has earned the distinction of being a Tree City USA for 18 years, with Wayne Park being considered a crown jewel. Our (3) City Parks boast walking paths, picnic shelters, soccer fields, a public swimming pool, numerous multi-purpose baseball/softball fields and one Legion sized baseball field. Our City recreation programs are continuously growing in participants and new programs are always being considered.
Our infrastructure is in place to accommodate future growth for our community. I hope that you will take an opportunity to patronize local merchants, as they are the ones that are often called upon to support local activities with their contributions. The business’s and companies which make Waverly their home collectively employee over 1,000 people.
