What an honor it is to have our very own local dairy, Hightail Delivery, and Greater Waverly Kiwanis member Natalie Paino take home such awesome awards.

Our club was honored to offer her products at our concession stand at Cedar River Park this summer. This partnership began when Natalie was a guest speaker and President Adam Hoffman pitched his idea to Natalie. The rest is history.

Congratulations, Natalie!!!

🌟 I took a leap outside my comfort zone this year and entered some of my products in the Iowa Quality Dairy Products Competition at the Iowa State Fair!

I’m so honored to announce that Hightail took home the top title in the ice cream category! 🥳

While there aren’t many of us, Iowa is truly blessed with so many incredible dairy manufacturers! A huge congratulations to Hansen's Farm Fresh Dairy on their Best in Show honor!🏅

Also, now I’m suspicious Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig was judging the contest…he may be the biggest strawberry pretzel ice cream fan ever! 🤣

This morning, Larry Pavelec, (former Bremer County Conservation Board Member) presented information to the club about the new cabin soon to be under construction at Cedar Bend Park. The cabin will be a wonderful resource for our county.

The Fall Softball League will start on August 23rd and run through September 27th, each Sunday except for September 6th. There will be 4 sets of games starting at 10:00, with the last set at 2:30. As in years past, we will offer local organizations the opportunity to work the concession stand window alongside our Kiwanis club members. We need at least 4 individuals (2 per window) to cover the stand from 9:30-3:30. You can split shifts how you wish. There will be a base payment for the day, and at the end of the season, a second payment based on total sales.

If you would like to be considered for one of the Sunday spots, contact [email protected] and/or respond by PM to this notice. We will consider those groups that are 501(c)(3) affiliated or wish to have their earnings paid to an organization that is. Secondary consideration is given to groups that, like Kiwanis International, support children and families. You could also volunteer and designate our club to donate your earnings in your name to a charity that fits the guidelines mentioned.

Our club appreciates the opportunity to work with others at the Cedar River Park ball fields. Much of our efforts have been returned to the community through sponsorship of the Kiwanis Miracle Field, donations to the Waverly Public Library, Waverly Health Center, Little League baseball and softball, the Miracle Field League, and numerous other organizations that benefit our local youth and their families.

This year marks our 50th anniversary in service to Waverly and the surrounding areas. “Kids need Kiwanis,” and we could use you as we try to reach 50 members in commemoration of our years of service. The more members we have, the more we can help our youth. We have several membership options.

We are thrilled to announce that our team has been invited back to Single School Nationals in Meridian, Idaho this October! After securing an impressive 3rd-place finish last fall, the girls are ready to work harder than ever to top the podium this year.
We also want to extend a massive thank you to the Greater Waverly Kiwanis Club. Your generous donation—and the opportunity to run concessions at Cedar River Park during the June 7th tournament—means the world to us. Today’s Greater Waverly Kiwanis guest speaker was Curt Atkins. Curt is from Waverly Utilities and he discussed the new solar panels added to the utility grid here in Waverly.

Today Chuck Brittian spoke at the Waverly Exchange Club regarding the summer raffle. It is great to see our service clubs work together to support our community.
