Kindergarten takes the stage tonight to capstone their year in movement & song. Here's a sneak peek of practice this morning. We hope you can join us tonight at 6 p.m. in the HLWW HS Auditorium to celebrate a great year of learning & growth! Our days left in K are limited, but our school & life adventures are not... bring on first grade! 💙💛

The kindergartners were also on the move last week, with an adventure to the MN Landscape Arboretum. Hands on exploration, science in action, and a wealth of learning. The weather was cooperative as well which made for a fun day all around.

Wednesday was an adventure on the water, the docks & piers of Waverly Lake, bringing our fourth graders from Humphrey Elementary and Winsted Elementary for the annual Woitalla Fishing Expo. Students learned about aquatic life, lake stewardship, and how to fish! Thank you to the MULTITUDE of volunteers who help each year to make a positive impact on our students. Almost all of our students caught fish. Soooo many fish stories told and a ton of fun! 🎣🐠

Working our way backwards a bit to share a few recent school events. Last Friday was a trip through different periods of history, with the 3rd grade’s presentation of their wax museum. Students learned about artists, authors, scientists, athletes and other historical figures, then shared their findings to family and other guests. It was a great day!

We are on the move... or will be soon! 😉 We are seeking available volunteers to help with our final transitions between classrooms and elementary buildings in preparation for the 2026-27 school year. Helping hands could be used May 25-June 15 for sorting, packing & cleaning. We could use help for moving and unpacking as well, with a tentative date of August 1. Reminder—Today is field day!

If you are choosing to join us today, just a few friendly reminders…
*We expect strong attendance, so please be patient with additional cars and congestion in and around our school campus. Safety is key!⚠️
*Please be respectful to our neighbors and their property— do not park on their grass or block them in.🏡
*There is no parking on the west side of our campus. This is reserved for bus loading at the end of the day. 🚌 The same holds true for the front circle. (You must be WITH your vehicle when waiting in the circle due to our emergency vehicles only need.)

It was a bit chilly this morning, but with a quick pace we made it to school with time to spare! We even had a chance to grab a photo with all of us today!

Thanks to the City of Waverly, Minnesota for space for our meeting point, and to the many parents & volunteers who helped out this morning… It was a GREAT !

Reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/6) is our day for all HLWW K-4 students! Students, staff, and families will come together at a central location to foot power the rest of our way to school! Dress warm, it’ll be a tad brisk to start the day…See you in the morning! 🚌👣
