⚾ Waverly Police Benevolent Association ⚾

As the Little League season begins to wind down, the Waverly Police Benevolent Association would like to recognize the players, coaches, volunteers, and families who make the program such a success each year.

The Waverly PBA was proud to support Waverly Little League this season as both a league sponsor and a team sponsor. Community organizations like Little League provide opportunities for children to learn teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship, and have fun while building lasting friendships.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support a program that brings so many families together and helps make our community stronger. Thank you to everyone who contributed to another great season, and congratulations to all of the players on their hard work and accomplishments.

The Waverly Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance regarding recent damage at the bathrooms located at Waverly Glen Park.

If you used the park bathrooms over the Memorial Day weekend, we are asking that you please contact us with the approximate day and time you were there, and whether you noticed any damage at that time. This information helps us narrow down timelines for reviewing security camera footage.

Going forward, we also ask that anyone visiting Village parks notify us if they observe damage or vandalism to park facilities, especially restrooms. Even small details from the public can be extremely helpful in guiding investigations and establishing accurate timelines.

Information may be provided anonymously.

🇺🇸 Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we ask our community to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the day and remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy.

From all of us at the Waverly Police Department, thank you to our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy.

This week, we recognize National Police Week — a time to honor the law enforcement officers who serve their communities each and every day, and to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Here in Waverly, we are grateful for the officers, dispatchers, support staff, and partnering agencies who work around the clock to help keep our community safe. Whether responding to emergencies, assisting residents, supporting local events, or simply being there when someone needs help.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the families behind the badge, whose support and sacrifices often go unseen.

Thank you to all who serve, and to the community members who continue to support us throughout the year. 💙

🚧 TRAFFIC ADVISORY – WAVERLY RACE NIGHT FAN FAIR 🚧

The Waverly Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors of the return of the Waverly Race Night Fan Fair taking place on Thursday, May 7th in Downtown Waverly. We’re excited to see this community event make its comeback! 🏁

📍 Broad Street will be closed from Johnson Street to Pennsylvania Avenue from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM to allow for event setup, activities, and teardown.

🛠️ Event Schedule: • Setup: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Fan Fair Event: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Teardown/Cleanup: 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Please use alternate routes, expect heavier pedestrian traffic in the downtown area, and use caution while traveling near the event zone.

We encourage everyone to come out, support the event, meet the drivers, check out the cars, and help welcome back the Waverly Fan Fair to our community! 🚗🏁
