Pike County Emergency Management Agency

Pike County Emergency Management Agency Provides information to the general public about activities of the Pike Co. EMA. Updating page may not be first priority in an emergency situation.

You will need to monitor your local radio and television stations for the most current information. Postings will include notifications about events, emergency situations, trainings and activities. In emergency situations this page will provide information and specific instructions for residents and travelers in the Pike County, Ohio area. This is not a complaint page so if you have specific issues with any emergency services, first responders, or the EMA you will need to send that information in the form of a message to the Page Administrators who will do their best to forward your concerns to the appropriate persons. Please be as specific as possible in your messages. This page creates a forum for discussions about planning, preparedness, and prevention. Dialog is highly encouraged - even if it is to notify Administrators of rumors or to share what is being seen and heard in our communities.

Re: UH-60 Terrain Flight Training

The US National Guard has advised they will be utilizing airspace within Pike County in order to conduct UH-60 Terrain Flight Training. The training exercise will begin early in the morning on Thursday, September 3, 2026 and will generally be along the Scioto River area.

The training will involve numerous Blackhawk helicopters and it is expected that the public will see these in the air throughout the duration of the training. Local First Responders will be available to participate or be used as a resource should it be required.

There will be no reason for the public to be alarmed as they see the training being conducted.
