Big news for healthy homes in Iowa.
Radon is the #2 cause of lung cancer, and many Iowans don’t realize they’re being exposed.

New legislation signed yesterday now requires radon mitigation systems in all newly constructed residential homes. This step will help create safer living environments, protect families, and reduce preventable cancers across our state.

We’re proud to see Iowa taking action to protect residents from this invisible but serious health risk.

A single blistering sunburn as a child can almost double your chance of melanoma as an adult. Your skin remembers everything. Sunscreen is such a simple way to protect it.

Even one blistering sunburn during childhood or adolescence can nearly double a person’s chance of developing melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, later in life.
