It is DSP Appreciation Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible people who support individuals with developmental disabilities throughout our community. 🙌

💙 DSPs do so much more than provide support.

They help individuals:

🏠 Build independent living skills
🎯 Reach personal goals
💼 Explore employment opportunities
🚗 Get involved in their community
💬 Build communication and self-advocacy skills
🤝 Develop meaningful relationships
❤️ Make choices about their own lives

A DSP may help someone learn to prepare a meal, attend an appointment, learn a new skill, find a job, participate in a favorite activity, or become more involved in their community.

✨ Those everyday moments can create life-changing opportunities.

DSPs bring patience, compassion, dedication, encouragement, and heart to the people they support. They celebrate accomplishments, encourage independence, advocate for others, and help individuals discover what is possible.
