I have an idea to use the stockings for! So we take stockings to the Veterans Day event and ask for them to fill the stocking or give us $25 to fill the stocking. We could set a date end of Nov or first of Dec at the civic center and we could be there to get the stocking from the drop off.

I checked Amazon and we could:

Hanes men’s sweatpants with cinched cuffs charcoal Heather 50% cotton and 50% polyester. Large is the recommended size for 11.00

A 5 pk of men’s short sleeve dry Fit Crew T-shirt for $34.99 if you divided by 5 it would be $6.99 a shirt.

Hanes socks 12 pk divided by $11 would be $.92 a pr and

Unisex Toboggans reversible are $5.99 ea.

That totals to $24.90

Let me know what you think. We could even offer it to organizations to help us by preparing flyers to pass out.

We are invited to tour the Eagle Oaks Retreat Center with the Ellis County Republican Women. January 6 morning, please RSVP to Cheree (she can tell you time and place) if you’d like to know more about this organization serving first responders and soldiers.

The West Point Glee Club is our special music guest this Sunday! They will join forces alongside our First Dallas Choir & Orchestra to perform "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" as our anthem worship song. See you on Sunday! 🇺🇸🎶

On 9/17/22 our chapter was invited to participate in the Gold Star Mothers Tea that is held annually to recognize the mothers who lost their child in service to our country. The Lone Star TX6 chapter always hold a wonderful Tea. This year one of ours new members, Teresa Aguilar went with me and excluding traffic going and coming, we had a wonderful time. I was asked to speak about the loss of my son and the Foundation that we started.

After I spent some time with the Gold Star Parents and they were so gracious in their compliments and comments.

Thank you Lone Star TX6 for allowing us to attend.

August 22 at 7pm at St Paul’s Episcopal church in Waxahachie. We will be packing boxes for our deployed troops and the border patrol. Come join us to support and pray for our military and veterans!
