Fall is in the air, and we have some fun outdoor activities coming up! 🍁 Whether you’re feeling crafty, ready to explore the trails, or looking to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the water, we have something for you!

🦋🌹 Butterflies & Roses Craft
📅 Saturday, October 17th | 1:00–2:00 PM
🎨 Create colorful butterflies and realistic roses to take home and enjoy!
💲 $5 per person

🥾🌿 Lake Trail Nature Hike
📅 Saturday, October 17th | 3:00–4:30 PM
🌳 Join us at the Interpretive Center for a guided hike along our Lake Trail and discover the wildlife that calls our park home!

🛶🌅 Sunset Paddle
📅 Saturday, October 17th | 6:00–8:00 PM
🌅 Join our Naturalist for a beautiful sunset kayak paddle on our blackwater lake! Kayaks are provided, but space is limited. All participants must be able to swim.
💲 $25 per person

📞 Ready to join the fun? Preregistration is required for the craft and sunset paddle. Call or visit our Visitor Center at 912-287-4900 to register!

🍂 A $10 daily park pass per vehicle is required unless you have a Georgia State Parks annual pass.

Come on out and join the Satilla Riverkeeper and our Park Naturalist for Coffee and Community on Thursday October 8th at 9:00AM! We will take a short hike along one of our two trails and highlight the importance of our Leave No Trace efforts. Let's protect our waterways for our future generations. See you there!

Our boat ramp is back open today. We will continue to monitor the levels if we get more rain but it has lowered back down to a safer level.

Join us October 10th–11th for a fun-filled weekend with crafts, hiking, and a little creativity! 🧡🌲

🎨 Crafts at the Park — Saturday, 10:30–11:30 AM | $5/person
🪵 Stick With It! — Saturday, 2:00–3:00 PM | $10/Person
🥾 Big Creek Nature Trail Hike — Saturday, 4:00–5:30 PM
🌿 Lake Trail Nature Hike — Sunday, 9:00–10:30 AM

📍 Visit the Visitor Center or call 912-287-4900 to register for programs requiring registration.
💵 $10 park pass required per vehicle.

🌦️ Weather Update: We will be monitoring weather conditions as we get closer to the weekend. Our outdoor programs will be held weather permitting, and we will make updates or cancellations as needed. Keep an eye on our social media for the latest information!

🌧️ Boat Ramp Closure Notice 🚤

Due to the high levels of rainfall we’ve received over the past few days, our lake has risen to levels that are unsafe for motorized watercraft and could farther impact our campground. As a result, our boat ramp is currently closed.

We’ll continue monitoring lake levels and will reopen the ramp as soon as conditions return to a safe level.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning for our Fall Food Truck and Vendor's Bazaar! Special thanks to our Friends of Laura S. Walker State Park and all the vendors who participated. Good food, good crafts and good people! See you next time!

We have a fun weekend planned at Laura S. Walker State Park! Our Friends of Laura Walker are holding their Annual Food Truck and Vendor's Bazaar from 10:30AM-2:30PM! We also will have a hiking stick workshop and a hike on Sunday. Come on out and join in on the fun. See you there!
