The Veggie Van from Steuben County CCE will be at the WC Prekindergarten School in Cohocton on September 7th (Labor Day, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Stock up on some wonderful produce and other items from our partnering farm Eggs ‘N Honey Homestead! Check out the locally grown produce, honey,eggs and other delicious food. The Veggive Van serves everyone and accepts cash, check, credit/debit, EBT/SNAP benefits, and Farmers’ Market Coupons, both senior and WIC! Come to the Cohocton campus and meet the farmers and purchase some produce, honey, eggs, and other wonderful food.

We are looking forward to our Eagles returning to school on Tuesday, September 8th. If you are an elementary family who brings their child to school, or picks them, remember there is a new traffic pattern. Enter the Wayland campus across from Pleasantside Drive and continue out to the Field House parking lot. Look for the orange traffic cones and barrels. Check it out this weekend. He has arrived in Steuben County! This morning, Thomas Jefferson arrived in Bath by stagecoach and will be staying overnight in Bath before giving his address to the guests of the America/Steuben 250 Celebration at Pulteney Park in Bath.

Mr. Jefferson will be speaking briefly at noon, at the gazebo in the center of the park. He will be addressing the Declaration of Independence, which of course is the reason for the whole 250 Celebration across America, the anniversary of the signing of his document.

Make sure to visit Pulteney Square on this Saturday, September 5th, from 9am - 5pm for our big history fair, with musical performances, military reenactors, historical performers, and great food options, too!

If you are looking for an educational activity celebrating the 250th birthday of America, check out these activities in Bath, NY celebrating Steuben County and presented by the Steuben County Historical Society!

We made a decision to save paper, money, and lessen the opportunity for litter, by not making hard paper copies of the schedule for the Steuben 250 Celebration taking place tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 5th in Pulteney Park in Bath.

If you know you are coming to the event, you may want to take a snapshot of this schedule to have with you!

You'll want to see our featured event, Thomas Jefferson spaeking briefly at noon if you can, after all, he's talking about the whole reason for this event - the 250th birthday of the signing of his document, The Declaration of Independence!
