Junk Journals returns! Participants enjoyed journaling so much that it was requested to be a monthly event, so if you missed us last time you have a chance to catch up with us this September 10th at 6 PM. Returning participants should bring their journals they started last month while new participant's will receive a blank to begin their personal creative journey in junk journaling.

Program: House Concert with Southwind Dulcimer Group

The Community is welcome!

The Lowell Club is a literacy social club established in Wayland back in 1890. The club meets the first Tuesday of the month from September to December, and from March to June.
Programs include author visits, house concerts, artist presentations, travel logs, history and much more.
The club meets at the Wayland Free Library The programs are free and open to the public.

Next Monday, August 31 at 11 AM, join us again for Literacy in The Garden. Nothing brings joy to the scene like a play date with bubbles.

Jessie Zeh; Mother, nature mentor and former librarian, will be leading this family friendly program. Each session we will begin with reading a story followed with matching activity and some much needed outdoor playtime for littles to let loose, be loud and run free.

Each month this summer we have been working on our quilt block skills in our Sewing w/ Machines classes. If you would like to learn how to make quilt blocks and begin your quilting journey please call 585. 728.5380 as registration is necessary to participate in this program.

The library has a few machines for loan and participants are welcome to bring their own machines. Newbies and Pros are all welcome at the table!

We are celebrating our new tv and speaker set up with the launch of movie Monday. Feel free to bring a friend and some snacks, movie suggestions are welcome as well!

The TV cart purchase was made possible with a grant awarded from the Foundation for Southern Tier Libraries.

We would like to welcome patron Melissa Price for this month's community connections! Melissa loves crafting and will be running a class on Junk Journals at the library. Join us and start your own Junk Journal on August 13 at 6 PM. Journals and collage materials will be provided, but participants are free to bring some of their own paper scraps or clippings.
