Wayland Council on Aging The Wayland Council on Aging provides a wide range of programs and services designed to engage, enlighten and support maturing adults.

The Wayland Council on Aging offers a constantly expanding array of programs and services to meet the needs of older adults and their families. Information and Assistance: Contact the COA if you need information about resources and services for older adults, including housing, transportation, health care, home care, safety, fuel assistance, legal questions, and other concerns. Health and Wellness:

We offer services including home-delivered meals (Meals on Wheels), fitness classes, medical equipment loans, and free blood pressure checks. Learning, Exploring, Connecting: The COA presents educational presentations and classes; trips and travel; social and interest groups; monthly and special luncheons; and special events throughout the year. Transportation: If you need help getting where you're going, call us for information about medical taxi vouchers, MWRTA Dial-a-Ride,and FISH volunteers who offer rides to medical appointments for Wayland residents with no way to get to the doctor. Other Services: Our volunteers offer small in-home fix-it services, as well as friendly calls or visits. Let us know about your needs.

Join us in celebrating one year at our COA’s new home! Whether you’ve been here every week or have been curious but haven’t made it in yet, this is the perfect opportunity to see everything our Community Center has to offer. Come try sample fitness classes, drop in for cards, mahjong, or pingpong, and browse information about the many services and resources available to Wayland residents. Following June Pizza Cafe, join us for a short play, performed by the Concord Traveling Players, about the beginning of the American Revolution. A Flurry of Birds follows the stories of heroes and scoundrels as citizens prepare for the British invasion and join the Minutemen.
