Hello All,
2016 has been a very productive year for Project GEM. Of the 10,000+ girls in Pakistan that we have helped over the years, 60 now have scholarships, mentors and support for secondary or college studies! In Somalia, our second girls' school built from scratch is up and running! And in Turkey, just on the border of Syria, we are building a "transitional" school for Syrian refugee children, mostly girls, to spend a year learning Turkish and other subjects to prepare them for entering the Turkish school system.
This would not have happened without your incredible generosity.
Our goal in 2016 is to raise $100,000 again, to (a) continue our scholarship program in Pakistan, and (b) extend our support for education of Syrian refugee children in Turkey.
This year we will not have our usual in-person Fundraising dinner. Instead, we hope that you will make a contribution on the Project GEM site. Your generosity is deeply appreciated by the Project GEM team, and the girls whose lives are transformed.
Thank you!
