Last week, Commissioner Jay Marcum, Litter Control Officer Larry Large, and Stephanie Simoes of the Wayne County Commission Administration team attended the Annual Solid Waste Authority Training Conference. During the conference, they had the opportunity to meet with various state-level officials and personnel, including Treasurer Pack, to discuss important issues impacting our communities.

The conference provided valuable insight, resources, and ideas that we look forward to bringing back and implementing here in Wayne County as we continue working to improve litter control and community beautification efforts.

To the residents of Wayne County — we hear you. Addressing litter and illegal dumping throughout our county remains a priority, and we are committed to continuing efforts that create a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful community for everyone.
