🚮 WAYNE COUNTY IS TAKING A STAND AGAINST ILLEGAL DUMPING

We’re proud to see the work being done across Wayne County to identify and address illegal dumping sites—and we’re grateful to have the opportunity to share this recent coverage from WCHS-TV.

Read the WCHS-TV story: https://wchstv.com/news/local/wayne-county-authorities-targeting-illegal-trash-dumps

This effort was made possible through the Wayne County Commission’s commitment to tackling illegal dumping and litter throughout our county, including the hiring of a certified Litter Control Officer dedicated to identifying problem areas, following up on reports, coordinating cleanups, and holding those responsible accountable.

But this work doesn’t happen alone. It takes teamwork and collaboration, and we are thankful for our partnership with the Western Regional Day Report Center & Home Confinement, whose participants continue to work alongside our Litter Control Officer Larry Large to remove litter and illegal dumping from our roadsides, waterways, and communities.

Our goal is simple: a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful Wayne County.

📢 See illegal dumping? Report it!

If you see a location where trash or debris has been illegally dumped, please take a moment to report it through our Illegal Dumping/Litter Report Form. Your report helps us identify problem areas and take action.

Together, we can make a difference—one cleanup, one report, and one community at a time.

Throughout Wayne County, illegal dumps are popping up. Now, county leaders are taking action.

🚮 Another Illegal Dumping Site Cleaned Up!

Two mattresses and a couch were picked up today along US 52 in Prichard by Officer Large.

The report for the couch was brought to us just yesterday, and Officer Large was able to pick it up today while traveling to other cleanup sites in the area.

We appreciate Officer Large’s continued efforts to address illegal dumping and keep Wayne County clean. 💪🗑️

See illegal dumping? Report it to the Wayne County Commission so we can work to get it cleaned up!
