Our Deputy Sheriff's Association will be hosting Casting with Cops again this year. This event is free and will be held on Sunday June 8th from 2pm to 4pm at Beech Fork State Park (Marina side). A fishing license is not required.

During this event, children ages 0 to 17 will have the opportunity to meet their local first responders. Deputies will help children with baiting hooks, reeling in fish, taking fish off the hooks, etc.

Participants must register by June 4th.
Children must be accompanied by a guardian for the entire event. If you have fishing equipment please bring it. The association will provide fishing equipment to those that don't along with bait, lunch, drinks and prizes.

If anyone would like to donate gear, lunch, snacks, drinks, bait, or prizes please contact us as well.

The Wayne County Deputy Sheriff's Association would like to give a big thank you to The Hall and Bottoms Up for their toy drive for underprivileged children. Our association donated the toys to the Wayne County Board of Education to disperse. We would also like to thank Lavalette Giovanni's, Bakers Towing, the Blue Knights, Prichard Giovanni's, Safari Club International, Okuno, and S*M tax services for their donations to Shop with a Cop and Casting with Cops this year.

Shop with a Cop was a huge success! The most rewarding thing about this job is being in a position to help those in need. Thank you to everyone that made donations to make this possible. It truly made so many kids Christmas.

The Wayne County Deputy Sheriff's Association is accepting donations for our Shop with a Cop program. We are a non-profit organization so your personal and business donations are tax deductible.

The program was put together to provide Christmas gifts for underprivileged kids in our communities. Deputies volunteer to raise money for the event and also come out and spend time shopping with the children.

Applications for the program will be available at a later date.
