The Town of Wayne Comprehensive Plan Committee hosted a community forum Sunday, with approximately 45 community members coming together to share their ideas, concerns, and hopes for Wayne.

The Committee called the forum “a success given the vigorous participation by all who attended,” according to committee member Dr. Paula Nersesian. The discussion, along with feedback received through the Committee’s online community survey, provides valuable input as the Town works to update its Comprehensive Plan.

The plan will help guide Wayne’s initiatives, priorities, and goals for the next 5–10 years and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who attended the forum, completed the survey, and took the time to share your thoughts. Your participation is helping shape Wayne’s future!

A big thank you to all of the young Wayne artists who participated in the Poulin Tree LLC & Town of Wayne Coloring Contest! We loved seeing all of the creativity come through the town office. The finished artwork is now on display for everyone to enjoy, and each artist received a special goodie bag.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to Poulin Tree LLC for their generosity in sponsoring the coloring contest — and for the excellent work they recently completed for the Town, limbing trees and clearing brush along six roads in preparation for upcoming paving work.

Thank you to our young artists, their families, and Poulin Tree LLC for helping make this a fun community project!

Be sure to take a look at the artwork when you’re at the town office! 🎨

🌳🎨 Calling All Young Artists! 🎨🌳

The Town of Wayne recently contracted with Poulin Tree LLC to complete tree limbing and brush removal along six town roads in preparation for this summer’s paving projects. As a way of giving back to the community, Poulin Tree LLC has partnered with the Town to offer a fun coloring activity for local children!

Coloring sheets are available for pickup at:
📍 Town Office, 14 Kents Hill Rd
📍 Ladd Recreation Center, 26 Gott Rd
📍 Wayne Post Office, 516 Main St

Once you’ve finished your masterpiece, return it to the Town Office or Ladd Recreation Center by August 7. Completed coloring pages will be displayed at the Town Office and shared on the Town’s social media pages (with parent or guardian permission, if needed).

As a thank-you for participating, every child who turns in a completed coloring page by August 7 will receive a fun grab bag, courtesy of Poulin Tree LLC.

We can’t wait to see everyone’s colorful creations!

We loved having a special visitor at the Town Office yesterday! Gunner stopped by with his grandfather, Select Board Member Lloyd Irland, colored this great firefighter picture, and even got to check out the fire trucks. He thought they were so big and amazing! 🚒 Thanks for visiting, Gunner!

Community Notice: The individual pictured with Town Manager, Shannon McDonnell, is a legitimate book sales representative with Southwestern Advantage. His name is Aiden Spratt, he drives a silver 2016 Toyota Camry with Illinois registration, and he will be knocking on doors throughout the community.

We appreciate individuals and organizations who take the time to stop by the Town Office and introduce themselves. Doing so helps us share accurate information with residents about who may be in the community and the purpose of their activities. You may have also seen a recent post from the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office confirming that they received all required documentation.

As always, residents should never feel pressured to purchase any goods or services. We encourage everyone to use their own judgment when interacting with solicitors and sales representatives.

Please note: Aiden is not affiliated with the Maranacook Regional School District 38.
