A BIG thank you to our Wellspan ALS partners who were kind enough to give our “rookies” on C-Shift their ALS Orientation to the chase car this afternoon. This included ALS chase car inventory, helpful tips and pointers in assisting them on incidents and a brief discussion on some BLS/ALS interventions.
Being able to assist all of our EMS agency partners benefits everyone, including the patient!

IAFF L5211 recently tried to help our next door neighbors raise money for a new roof by having a joint fundraiser event. Even though that event was canceled, the Local still wanted to honor its monetary commitment to them. Here, Local 5211 is represented by Robert Atkinson presenting a check to the executive director of the Waynesboro New Hope Shelter, Mandi for $500. We hope to continue our longstanding partnership with them to help
Provide valuable resources to our Waynesboro community.

The incident was quickly brought under control by arriving units. Thank you to all mutual aid departments and the Waynesboro Police Department for assisting on this call.

As we celebrate this July 4th and America’s 250th birthday, please remember to count all your extremities before AND after any fireworks tonight. We’d prefer you get to enjoy the celebrations rather than being transported to the ER for being careless and losing a digit. Stay safe tonight!!
