Our office is quite busy! Even still, we prioritize planting seeds and engaging with the next generation as well as emerging leaders! We’ve recently spent time with students at Lamar-Millegde Elementary, Episcopal Day School, Hornsby Middle School, Evans High School and the 2026 Leadership Augusta Class! We believe these experiences positively contribute to our quest for a safer community.

The DAO joined other agencies and organizations across Augusta this week in hosting Richmond County students for the annual “Job Shadow Day”!

Our assigned students were introduced to the work of our assistant district attorneys, victims’ advocates, legal admins, and investigators!

The students observed real life court—bonds, arraignments and sentencing as well as learned about digital forensics and grand jury.
