Teamwork in Public Safety is key to providing the best possible care.

A BIG thank you to our Wellspan ALS partners who were kind enough to give our “rookies” on C-Shift their ALS Orientation to the chase car this afternoon. This included ALS chase car inventory, helpful tips and pointers in assisting them on incidents and a brief discussion on some BLS/ALS interventions.
Being able to assist all of our EMS agency partners benefits everyone, including the patient!

The Borough of Waynesboro and Washington Township are awaiting a final determination from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) regarding the next steps related to the flooding that occurred on July 28. We will continue to work with PEMA and other appropriate agencies and will provide additional information as it becomes available.

Back to School!! Franklin County Housing Authority’s Resident Council of Valley View Village Green hosted a “Back to School” event for the children of the neighborhood, handing out back packs stocked with school supplies. Time was given, along with supplies, for the kids to work on their Fire Prevention / Fire Safety posters - to be on display at the S Potomac firehouse on Fire Prevention Open House day. The event was wrapped up with the showing of a movie in the community room. Borough firefighters enjoy being involved in community events and getting the opportunity to interact in non- emergency situations.

Our firefighter’s union doing good things in the community. Good job fellas!

IAFF L5211 recently tried to help our next door neighbors raise money for a new roof by having a joint fundraiser event. Even though that event was canceled, the Local still wanted to honor its monetary commitment to them. Here, Local 5211 is represented by Robert Atkinson presenting a check to the executive director of the Waynesboro New Hope Shelter, Mandi for $500. We hope to continue our longstanding partnership with them to help
Provide valuable resources to our Waynesboro community.

Working together to provide emergency services in our community, the Borough Fire Department along with the Waynesboro Police Department, Waynesboro Ambulance Squad, WellSpan EMS and LifeNet helicopter respond to a pedestrian struck on E Main St.
