Today we honor the Lady who keeps everything going and who has dedicated 30 years to Wayne County 911.

Rhonda Fisher started at 911 in 1996 and has been the foundation of every improvement and advancement since then.

From keeping our books, to making calls, to doing whatever is needed she is the epitome of dependability and dedication.

During her time as office administrator there has never been an audit finding related to our finances and we promise that she protects the 911 funds more feverishly than her own.

More than a great administrator she is the best friend anyone could ever ask for.

We are truly blessed with the best

Happy Administrators week Rhonda.

By now we are all aware of the potential for winter weather this weekend including the potential for severe ice accumulations which can cause power lines to be taken down causing power outages.

While we know this is something that is an inconvenience, we want to remind everyone that 911 DOES NOT have a special number to contact TVEC and we do not know when the power will be back on.

If your power goes out please contact TVEC at 722-7800 and not our dispatch center as these phone calls will tie up our phones lines that may be needed to get help to someone having an emergency.

Please under no circumstances dial 911 just to report your power being out or asking when the power will be back on.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

We have been notified of a possible problem with Verizon 911 calls getting through to our call center. This is a wide spread outage according to Verizon and is effecting many areas besides ours.

If you are a Verizon customer and cannot get a 911 call to go through please be advised you can call our non-emergency lines at 931 722-3613 or 722-3614.

Wayne County E911 and all of our staff would like to take just a moment to thank all of our Law Enforcement professionals who keep us safe and enforce our laws.

We are blessed with some of the best there is.

Thank you and we appreciate you all.

It has been brought to our attention that some callers in non-emergency situations are saying that they are not getting answers when calling 911.

After reviewing this, we found that there is confusion and some bad information about the correct numbers to call so we wanted to post the correct numbers to call to hopefully clear this up.

931 722-7911. If you need and address or for any situation related to addresses this is the correct number to call. Do not call this number to talk to an officer or a dispatcher as this is our business office that closes at 4 pm everyday and is closed on the weekends and holidays.

931 722-3613 If you need to talk to our dispatch center for a non-emergency situation this is the correct number to call as our dispatch center is manned 24/7. We do ask that you understand that like all other agencies there may be times when you do get a busy signal or will be placed on hold as the dispatcher finishes the call they are currently on. Again this is for non-emergency situations.

911
For all emergency situations please dial 911.

We have had people to tell us that they dialed 722-911 which is not correct, it is simply 911.

Please share this post and help us get the word out.

We have received reports stating that some callers have been placed on hold or have been sent to other Call Centers when calling 911.

While there are times at our center when a caller may be put on hold momentarily due to an overload of incoming calls, we are finding that after investigating these incidents that several of them are due to the mis-routing of calls for people using Internet phones.

If you use an Internet phone system please contact your provider and insure that they have your 911 routing set up correctly and that they have your address correct.

If you cannot get confirmation from your provider please call our office at 931 722-7911 and we will schedule a time to have you do a test call to ensure that your 911 calls are being routed correctly.

⭐️ Dispatcher Highlight

Heather Mace

I am Heather Mace I am married to Keith. I have 2 kids Alysia and Hector. I have 3 bonus kids Hunter,Tristan, and Katie. What I like about dispatching is everyday is different and hope to help someone on their worst day. Most importantly is making sure all of the officers and deputies make it home safely. I enjoy spending time with family, taking care of our pets, and watching the TN Vols play. My favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10
