Five blighted homes were recently demolished in partnership between Cumberland Township and the Redevelopment Authority. Two homes in Nemacolin; three in Crucible and one in Carmichaels Borough.

Within the next two years, two new modular homes will be placed where one of the blighted structures were razed in Crucible.

Vacant lots are FOR SALE. Contact the Redevelopment Authority at 724-852-5306 if interested.

The demolitions were paid in part through a $100,000 grant from the Department of Community and Economic Development focused on blight remediation and rehabilitation.

The county is in the process of re-applying for U.S. EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant Program and would like our resident's input. We would like you all to be apart of the revitalization project for the county and attend the next meetings to be included in the conversation.

The U.S. EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant Program is hosting the next meetings on September 14, 2021 and December 14, 2021!

Meetings will be held at 10am on the second floor conference room of the County Office Building. If you can't attend in person, you can telephone in by contacting the Industrial Development Authority at (724) 627-9259 ahead of time for the call-in information.
