The Greene County Library System is looking for a part-time System Administrator. The position is for 26 hours per week and reports to the Greene County Library System Board of Trustees.

Qualifications:
Required: Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution. Certification as Professional Librarian in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania within 90 days following appointment is also required.
Preferred: Has four years public library experience, including a minimum two years supervisory experience or its equivalent. Has administrative skill in the areas of budgets, personnel, and public relations. Must possess the ability to write and speak effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Administration
Plans, coordinates, and administers projects and programs that provide system-wide services. Works in conjunction with the member libraries and their boards. Acts as an informed resource for library-related inquiries, including local, state, and federal laws affecting libraries. Acts as a representative of Greene County at the state and local levels.
Financial Administration
Prepares and administers approved annual operating budget, including preparing payroll, and paying all bills.
Program Development
Suggests and carries out plans for extending the system’s services. Is the contact for all system-wide databases. Coordinates the Greene County Reading Competition.
Public & Community Relations
Represents the library system to residents of Greene County, funding bodies, and the professional library community. Serves on appropriate community committees. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with government agencies, civic and community groups, and the general public.
