A huge thank you to Stanford Fire Department for bringing their ladder truck and allowing us to conduct valuable training on moving water from the source all the way to the tip of their beautiful 77-foot aerial ladder. Training like this helps ensure our crews are prepared when the call comes in.

We also want to thank East Anderson Hardwoods for allowing us to use their facility to perform this vital training. Your support of our fire departments and our community is greatly appreciated!

When departments work together, train together, and support one another, our entire community benefits.

It is with great sadness that the members of the Brodhead Fire Department learned of the passing of our dear friend, Dale Dobson, following a brief illness.

Dale served as Director of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s Farm Safety Program and was a true friend and supporter of the Brodhead Fire Department. Throughout his career, he dedicated himself to making Kentucky a safer place by educating firefighters, EMTs, law enforcement officers, farmers, and countless others through his passion for farm safety and rescue.

His message of Raising Hope and promoting mental health awareness along with farm safety and rescue reached thousands across the Commonwealth. While the number of lives Dale directly and indirectly saved will never truly be known, his impact will continue to be felt for generations through those he taught, inspired, and encouraged.

Dale’s legacy is one of service, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to protecting others. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

On behalf of the officers and members of the Brodhead Fire Department, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Dale’s family, friends, and all those mourning his loss.

Rest easy, Dale. Thank you for everything you did for Kentucky and for all of us. We’ll take it from here.

Today, our crews responded to reports of a male who had been involved in a four-wheeler accident deep in the woods.

Fire units deployed Utility 5 and Rescue 5, locating the patient approximately 2.5 miles into a remote wooded area. Crews provided immediate first aid before safely transporting the patient out of the woods.

The patient sustained what appeared to be minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by personal vehicle for further evaluation.

We would like to thank all responding personnel for their quick response and teamwork, ensuring the patient was safely reached and removed from the remote location.
