"Hello! My name is Shelby Ramsey, and I am excited to join the team as an MSD Instructional Assistant. I have a passion for helping children learn, grow, and reach their full potential. I previously worked in preschool, where I developed a love for supporting young learners, and I am thrilled to continue making a difference by working with students with diverse learning needs. I look forward to building positive relationships with our students, families, and staff while creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment. "I am Jessica Shelton Taylor, a lifelong resident of Waynesburg, my husband Shawn and I have a 8-year-old daughter Lucy Jo. In my spare time I love to be with my family camping, being out on the lake, or playing with the horses.

I have always wanted to work in the school system and I recently had the opportunity to sub in the classroom and my heart grew to love it even more. I am very excited to be a part of the Waynesburg Tiger Family."

“Hello, my name is Abby McKenzie. I’m excited to be joining Waynesburg Elementary School this year as a cook in the cafeteria. I moved to Lincoln County, KY in 2005 with my husband Joe and daughter Briana. I’ve previously been working in radiography, but am ready to start a new chapter in my life. My family and I live out in the country with our Newfoundland dog and 4 cats. We recently took on 9 chickens and they have been wreaking havoc in our flower beds this spring. In my spare time I like to read, sew, make crafts, garden, and play cards."

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Contessa Long as our new Preschool Instructional Assistant.

“I’m a mom of 4 and a Mimi to 3 amazing grandkids. I was a stay-at-home mom for 10 years before starting my journey with the school system in 2024 as a custodian. Later, I moved to the cafeteria, where I got to know so many students and staff members.

Working at the school made me realize how much I truly enjoy being around the kids and being part of their day. The students and staff are a big reason I decided to pursue this opportunity.

The encouragement and support from the staff, along with my love for the students, inspired me to take the next step in my career. I am excited for this new opportunity and l’m looking forward to this new chapter. I can’t wait to work with the preschoolers, learn new things, and make lots of memories along the way. "

“Hello! My name is Mrs. Lyndsie Black, and I have spent the last two years teaching at Highland. I am so excited to be joining the Waynesburg family as a preschool teacher this year!

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our dogs, family, and friends. I love being outdoors, going to church, crafting, and reading.

Please help us welcome Mrs. Follin, our new MSD Teacher, to the Waynesburg family!

“My name is Megan Follin, and I began working for Lincoln County Schools in 2022. I moved to Kentucky from Virginia during the pandemic, which turned out to be a wonderful journey for our family. I have four children, ages 21 to 2, along with three dogs and four cats. My two boys and two girls keep the family very active in a variety of sports, which my husband and I also help coach. We love to travel the world whenever we can, making lasting memories. I have worked in the public and private school systems for close to twenty years with a wide variety of grades and courses. I found my love and passion in the special education department, and I look forward to making a difference in our students' lives. I have been able to call those at Stanford Elementary family for the last four years. I look forward to calling Waynesburg home and gaining many more family members over the years to come. Go Tigers!”

Please join us in welcoming Brady Weaver to our team!

Mr. Weaver comes highly recommended by several distinguished teachers across the district who had the privilege of working with him during his student teaching experience. Throughout that time, he demonstrated a strong commitment to student learning, professionalism, and collaboration.

In addition to his classroom experience, Mr. Weaver has remained actively involved with youth in our community, serving as a referee for our booster club program and as a Kentucky High School Athletic Association basketball official.

Mr. Weaver brings valuable experience in designing engaging instructional activities for diverse learners, establishing positive classroom routines and expectations, using data to guide instruction, and collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Mr. Weaver graduated from Lincoln County High School and then went on to play basketball while earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Midway University.

We are excited to have him join our Tiger family and know he will bring great energy, enthusiasm, and passion for helping students learn and grow. Welcome to the team, Mr. Weaver!

🍕🕹️ WAYNESBURG TIGERS TAKE ON GATTI-TOWN! 🐯✨
Our amazing 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders hit Lexington today for a well-deserved celebration! To reward all of their incredible hard work and focus on the KSA, our Tigers spent the day fueled by pizza, games, and lots of laughter at Gatti-town.
But the best part of the day? It wasn't just the games! The restaurant staff went out of their way to compliment our students for their outstanding manners and for making sure every single friend was included in the fun.
Way to represent our school with kindness and respect, Tigers! We are so proud of your hard work and even prouder of the wonderful people you are. 🧡🖤
