Unelected Elon Musk and all his bastard friends are getting in the way of this Haywood Community having the future we were born for. They are making it more difficult to recover from Helene, from supporting the ones we love, and having pride in the home we live in. Show up to support the future we have here!

AB Tech Ferguson Auditorium March 13, 2025. Congressman Chuck Edward held a town hall and so many people attend that most folks were outside the whole time. And these folks are from all over Western NC! So glad people are willing to show up and are not afraid to express themselves. To make the nation we need, join a team or build one, learn how you can fill the gaps in power, and make a plan to build the connections to get the folks we need into office. Anyone can reach out to us anytime for help with that.

It’s been a very long month and there’s been a lot of good reasons not to post here for a while. The fact is, our communities are stronger than we’ve ever thought they could be and every day the work is being done to reinforce the resilience of our people.

All the members of this organization have stories that need to be told from the results of Hurricane Helene and once this election is over, we can get to them. In the meantime, there is only 4 more days to vote.

Here is a little glimpse around what some of this crew was up to just this evening. A huge shoutout to for getting the crowd ready for election day. Thank you and for getting attention on our region so that our stories are still listed to.

Not everyone who has been putting in the work is pictured here. Some much appreciation is needed for everyone doing their part. Of all the moments in history, this is the one where North Carolina matters the most. There is still time to get involved. Send a DM to do so!

15,000 pounds or 606 boxes. One of the original goals of the Haywood Young Democrats was to be a vehicle to mobilize for direct hands-on needs in Haywood County. Haywood Christian Ministries has been a consistent go to for our citizens who, no matter the reason, don’t have enough to eat each week.

I’m proud of the organizing this team did to show up when HCM needed our help and for all the members of our community (Democrat, Independent, and unknown) who showed up to put in the work. These folks are the reason that Haywood County is strong. ~JBR

The Haywood County chapter of Young Democrats was named Chapter of the Year for the second consecutive year at the N.C. Young Democrats 89th Annual Convention.

We’ll hear from our candidates, learn more about our organizing strategies, elect delegates for District Conventions, and consider our Resolutions.
