As a Self-Help Housing Counselor with Smoky Mountain Housing Partnership Kerry works alongside families as they build not only homes, but brighter futures.

Through the Self-Help Housing Program, she helps guide participants through the homebuilding process, making the dream of homeownership more attainable through education, encouragement, and their own hard work.

Kerry understands the challenges many families face in today’s housing market and is passionate about helping create opportunities that might otherwise seem out of reach.

She also values being part of a team that shares a common commitment to serving others and strengthening our communities.

A big milestone for Bethel Village! 🏠

Yesterday, another modular home was placed in the growing Bethel Village community in Jonathan Creek through the Smoky Mountain Housing Partnership’s Self-Help Housing Program, a division of Mountain Projects, Inc.

Thanks to Edwards Modular Construction, the home is now in place and finish work can begin as future homeowner Jill Stevens helps complete her new home.

We will share updates with the community as application opportunities resume.

We are thrilled to be able to have helped Carmen and her family continue the progress on her home.

Carmen Cronon, a pediatric nurse who lived in Clyde before Helene, has been living in a camper for more than 500 days.

The Smoky Mountain Housing Partnership’s Self-Help Housing Program, a Division of Mountain Projects, celebrated another milestone on April 20th, with the placement of the first of three additional homes at its already successful Bethel Village project in Jonathan Creek.

A crew from Edwards Modular Edwards Modular Construction of Rutherfordton lifted the structure into place, and now finish work begins, with the homes’ owners helping complete that work.
